Praise Yahuah

Praise YAHUAH was the beginning of something I did not yet know how to name.

Before the studies, before the language of governance, remaining, alignment, and becoming, YAHUAH had already begun drawing my attention to something that seemed simple but would eventually change the direction of my entire walk:

His Name.

I had spent much of my life believing in Him, praying to Him, singing about Him, and reading Scripture. Yet I was beginning to realize that there were things I had accepted simply because they were familiar to me.

YAHUAH began disturbing that familiarity.

Long before Praise YAHUAH became an album, He had already been dealing with my heart concerning His Name and the importance of learning from someone who would continually point me back to Scripture rather than asking me merely to accept what I was told. During that season, I came across Promote the Truth. Many people had opinions about the ministry and its teacher, but what mattered to me was that what I was hearing continually sent me back to the Word to search for myself.

That became one of the earliest lessons of this entire journey:

Truth is not determined by popularity.

If something was true, I wanted to know why.

If something I had always believed was wrong, I wanted YAHUAH to show me.

And if His Name really was YAHUAH, then I did not simply want to learn that information.

I wanted to say His Name.

I wanted to praise His Name.

I wanted the songs coming from me to point unmistakably toward the One I was beginning to recognize.

So the music started changing.

Songs such as He Alone Is Yahuah and All Esteem to Yahuah carried the simplicity of that season. I did not yet possess all the understanding I would later gain about His character, authority, function, covenant, or governance.

I simply knew:

YAHUAH is worthy of praise.

And that realization was enough to begin.

The more I learned, the more I wanted to sing.

Praise became a way of responding to discovery.

Every new understanding produced gratitude. Every correction gave me another reason to esteem Him. Every Scripture that challenged what I thought I knew made me want to search further.

Somewhere in that process, praise began moving beyond individual songs.

It became something I wanted to carry.

That is why the original description of the album said:

“Songs born from an awakening to the Father’s Name and a life of continual praise.”

At the time, I could not have explained all that continual praise would eventually come to mean.

I was still learning.

But the seed was already there.

Praise was becoming more than something reserved for a song, a gathering, or a good moment.

I was beginning to understand that if YAHUAH remained worthy, then praise did not need to wait for my circumstances to become worthy of celebration.

He was the reason.

The album became a bright, joyful declaration of that awakening: 25 songs of praise, worship that lifts, Scripture that inspires, and one repeated truth beneath it all—

YAHUAH is worthy.

The Scripture that came to represent the collection said it simply:

“Let everything that has breath praise Yahuah. Praise Yah.”

— Tahliym 150:6

Looking back now, I can see that Praise YAHUAH was not the culmination of my understanding.

It was the awakening.

I had discovered His Name, and something within me wanted to answer that discovery with praise.

But praise created another hunger.

Once I knew the Name of the One I was praising, I wanted to know Him.

Who is YAHUAH?

What is He like?

What does He desire?

What has He actually spoken?

What had I inherited from tradition, and what could Scripture itself testify to?

Those questions would eventually lead me into the next season.

After Praise YAHUAH, my desire to know Him only grew stronger. Discovering His Name was no longer enough. I wanted His character, His ways, and the truth of His Word. As my understanding grew, the music continued growing with it.

And from that hunger would eventually come Seek YAHUAH.

But Praise YAHUAH came first.

It is the testimony of the moment when a familiar faith began becoming personal discovery.

When inherited language began giving way to searching.

When the Name YAHUAH stopped being merely something I had learned and became the Name I wanted my mouth to continually esteem.

And when music became one of the ways I answered Him:

I know Your Name now.

So let everything within me praise YAHUAH..
