The Walk Behind the Album

Palal: Prayers to Live By, Vol. I

Alignment & Endurance — Origin Story

Palal: Prayers to Live By, Vol. I — Alignment & Endurance was born while I was learning that knowing how YAHUAH desires me to walk and actually remaining in that walk are two different things.

The season before it had been marked by one question:

How do I walk?

Not simply, How do I study?

Not, How do I sing?

Not even, How much can I understand?

I wanted to know how the truth I was learning was supposed to become visible in an ordinary human life.

That question became Teach Me to Walk Like Yahusha Walked.

What began as a personal study quickly became much more. Day after day, I returned to Scripture to observe Yahusha's posture, His obedience, His relationship to the Father, His restraint, His compassion, His trust, and the way He moved from the Source rather than from the pressure surrounding Him. The rhythm was simple: Read. Reflect. Palal. Practice. The purpose was not performance, but formation—allowing what I understood to become something I actually lived.

At the same time, my circumstances were giving me opportunities to discover whether I actually believed what I was learning.

The season that produced Anchored & Armored in Yahuah had already begun teaching me not to anchor my identity in people, positions, circumstances, or success. As things around me became less stable, I was learning to become anchored in YAHUAH and armored in His truth.

But then another question emerged.

What happens after I become aligned?

Do I remain there?

That is where Palal Vol. I began.

I had always understood prayer as something I did.

I prayed when I needed direction.

I prayed when I was hurting.

I prayed when I was grateful.

I prayed when I needed help.

But during the Walk Like Yahusha season, palal began changing function for me.

It became the place where what I had read was brought before YAHUAH and turned inward:

Search me.

Correct me.

Align me.

Teach me.

Show me how to walk this.

The prayer was no longer separated from the lesson.

And eventually the lesson could no longer be separated from the life.

I began realizing that alignment was not simply agreeing with YAHUAH in a prayer.

Alignment was coming beneath His order.

It meant letting His Word challenge my reactions.

His character challenge my assumptions.

His will challenge what I wanted.

His timing challenge my urgency.

His authority challenge my desire to control the outcome.

But I was also learning something else:

Alignment established in one moment still had to survive the next one.

That was endurance.

Endurance was not forcing myself through difficulty.

It was learning to remain beneath what YAHUAH had already established when circumstances gave me reasons to move.

To remain when emotion changed.

To remain when answers did not come quickly.

To remain when obedience became inconvenient.

To remain when pressure made another response look easier.

To remain when nothing outwardly seemed to confirm that remaining was worthwhile.

One particular moment from that season became a marker for me.

On January 20, 2026, during the New Moon, I noticed a quiet joy within me.

Nothing dramatic had happened externally.

There was no major breakthrough to celebrate.

No circumstance had suddenly changed.

Yet I felt settled.

And I realized the joy was coming from something much simpler:

I was aligned.

The marker I wrote for that day called it “New Moon — Alignment & Joy.” It described joy without striving, alignment without resistance, obedience flowing naturally, and a settled heart. The declaration became:

“I remain in Yahuah's order.

I walk in His timing.

I trust the work He is completing in me.”

Another line from that day would become even more important:

“I do not chase alignment. I remain in it.”

Looking back, I can see that sentence sitting at the heart of this album.

Because Palal Vol. I was not merely about reaching a place of alignment.

It was about learning to live there.

That is why these became Prayers to Live By.

They were not prayers meant to be spoken once and left behind.

They were prayers I needed when I woke up.

Prayers I needed before responding.

Prayers I needed when my emotions were louder than wisdom.

Prayers I needed when fear tried to interpret my circumstances for me.

Prayers I needed when I wanted to take control.

Prayers I needed when I was tired of waiting.

They became words that helped return my heart to YAHUAH again and again.

And somewhere in that season, my understanding of palal began changing completely.

Prayer was becoming more than a moment of speaking to YAHUAH.

It was becoming a posture of continual agreement with Him.

Much later I would have fuller language for what was happening: palal as covenant alignment expressed through thought, speech, obedience, trust, governance, endurance, and daily posture.

I did not yet understand all of that when Volume I was forming.

But I was beginning to live it.

I was beginning to discover that prayer could follow me out of the quiet place.

Into my decisions.

Into my reactions.

Into work.

Into relationships.

Into disappointment.

Into restraint.

Into waiting.

Into the ordinary parts of my day.

The question was no longer simply:

Did I pray?

It was becoming:

Did I remain aligned with what I prayed?

That is the relationship between the two words on this album.

Alignment was learning to come beneath YAHUAH's order.

Endurance was learning to stay there.

And now, looking back over everything that followed—Refinement, Sorting, Responsibility, Heart Governance, Quiet Authority, the Governed Life, the human aspect of the walk, and even Just Me and Yahuah—I can see that Volume I was laying a foundation I did not yet know I would need.

The later questions about governance had not fully formed yet.

Neither had all the language about the heart, Source, function, order, and quiet authority.

But something essential had begun:

Prayer was becoming life.

I was learning that I could not ask YAHUAH to align me in one moment and then return to self-rule in the next.

I could not ask Him to lead me while continually choosing my own direction.

I could not pray for trust and then abandon trust when circumstances became uncomfortable.

The prayer had to leave my mouth and enter my walk.

And so Palal: Prayers to Live By, Vol. I — Alignment & Endurance became the testimony of a season when YAHUAH was teaching me not merely how to come before Him—

but how to remain before Him after I got up.

Not striving.

Not performing.

Not constantly beginning again.

But learning, one ordinary decision at a time:

Come beneath His order.

Remain there.

And let the prayer become the life.

That is where Palal began for me.
