Day 13 — The Character of Aluah

Restorative

He restores what returns to alignment.

Read

Ta’anak

Yau’al 2:25–27

“Then I shall repay you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, and the consuming locust, and the gnawing locust, My great army which I sent among you. Then you shall eat and be satisfied, and shall praise the Name of Yahuah your Aluah, who has done with you so wondrously. And My people shall never be put to shame. And you shall know that I am in the midst of Yashar’al, and that I am Yahuah your Aluah, and there is no one else.”

Tahliym 23:3

“He restores my being. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake.”

Bariyt Hadashah

Luqah 15:20–24

“And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. But the father said to his servants, Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fattened calf here and slaughter it, and let us eat and rejoice, because this son of mine was dead and is alive again, and he was lost and is found.”

Galatiym 6:1

“Brothers, if a man is overtaken in some trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, watching yourself lest you also be tempted.”

Ma’Ashiym 3:19–21

“Repent therefore and turn back, for the blotting out of your sins, in order that times of refreshing might come from the presence of Yahuah, and that He sends Yahusha Mashiyha… until the times of restoration of all matters.”

How Aluah Reveals This Trait in Scripture

Aluah restores.

But restoration is not pretending disorder never happened. Restoration is the return of rightful order, function, relationship, and life.

In Yau’al, restoration follows judgment, repentance, and renewed recognition of Yahuah’s presence. The restoration is not random compensation. It is covenant reordering.

Tahliym 23 shows restoration at the personal level. He restores the being, then leads in paths of righteousness. Restoration is not merely emotional relief. It includes direction back into right paths.

In Luqah, the returning son is restored relationally. He is received, clothed, and reestablished. But restoration happened because he returned.

Galatiym reveals that restoration is also part of communal character. Those formed by Aluah must restore others gently—not crush them.

Ma’Ashiym ties restoration directly to repentance and turning. Restoration is linked to alignment, not entitlement.

This means Aluah’s restorative character is not indulgence. He restores what returns to rightful order under His governance.

Hebrew Thought Anchor: Restoration is the return of rightful order, function, and relationship.

Reflect

Do I view restoration as comfort, or as return to alignment?

What in my life needs restoration through repentance and turning?

Have I resisted the paths of righteousness while asking for restoration?

Do I restore others with gentleness, or with harshness?

Palal

Aluah, restore what is out of order in me.

Not merely what feels broken— but what is truly misaligned.

Restore my thoughts. Restore my motives. Restore my obedience. Restore my trust. Restore my relationships where right order is possible.

Teach me that restoration is not returning to comfort, but returning to Your paths.

Let me reflect Your restorative character toward others with gentleness, wisdom, and truth.

Practice

Identify one area where restoration is needed.

Ask:

• What must I turn from?
• What path must I return to?
• What has Aluah already shown me about this area?

Take one restorative step today. Let restoration begin with alignment.
