30 Day Walk Like Yahusha Walked

Day 14 — Humility Before Aluah

Read • Reflect • Palal • Practice

Phase 2

Tested and Strengthened

What was formed in alignment is now revealed under pressure.

Study Focus

Primary Scripture: Luqah (Luke) 18:9–14

Theme: Honest humility without comparison

Daily Posture: Standing before Aluah in truth, not self-measurement

Read

Read slowly. Notice how both men pray, but only one stands before Aluah in truth.

Truth Scriptures

Luqah (Luke) 18:9–14

Yahusha then told a parable about certain people who looked down on everyone else and covinced themselves that they were righteous.

"He said, Two people went up to the Ahiykal to pray. One was a Parashiy and the other was a tax collector.

The Parashiy stood and prayed these words about himself, "Aluah, I thank You that I am not like the rest of the people They are theives, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collectors.

However the tax collector, stood at a distance, He would not even lift his eyes towards heaven, Rather he hit his chest and said, “Aluah, I am a sinner. Please be compassionate with me.”

"I tell you; it was the tax collector who went home justified and not the Parashiy, Everyone who exalts themselves will be bought low humbled, but everyone who humbles themselves will be exalted".

Yahusha tells of two men who pray — one compares himself to others, while the other speaks honestly before Aluah.

Though both stand in the right place, only one leaves justified. Pay attention not just to what they say, but how they stand before Him.

Reflect

In Hebrew thought, humility is not self-rejection. It is agreeing with the truth before Aluah without comparison or defense.

Key Hebrew thought insights:

  • Comparison turns prayer into self-measurement
  • Righteousness is alignment, not ranking
  • Compassion is received through honesty, not performance
  • Self-justification blocks mercy; truth opens the door to it
  • Humility is clarity — seeing yourself rightly before Aluah

The difference is not behavior — but posture. One defends himself. The other speaks truth and receives compassion.

Questions to Consider

  • Do I compare myself to others in my walk or prayer?
  • Where do I justify myself instead of being honest?
  • What truth have I avoided saying plainly before Aluah?
  • Am I seeking to be right — or to be aligned?

Palal

Yahuah, bring my heart into truth before You. Remove comparison and self-justification from me.

I come as I am — without defense, without ranking, without performance. Cover me with Your compassion and restore me through truth.

Let humility establish right order within me. Ahlaluyah.

Practice

Pray honestly once today — without comparison or explanation.

“Am I being honest… or impressive?”

Speak one truth plainly. Ask for compassion. Release control.

“Truth invites compassion.”

Day 14 Anchor

Humility is agreeing with the truth about yourself before Aluah — and receiving His compassion.
